Create Connection button greyed out – how to check Admin rights?

Hi,
I’m working on a new project in Workato and want to create a Connection to salesforce.
Currently, the Connect button appears but is greyed out / not clickable .
How can I check if I have Workspace Admin permissions, or if this is restricted for another reason?

Hi @shaked , in the left drop-down menu of the screen, click on 'Workspace admin' and you can see if your user is admin in Access Control -> Workspace access -> Collaborators

Hi,
Thanks for the guidance. I went to the suggested location (Workspace admin → Access Control → Workspace access → Collaborators) and this is what I see:

“No workspace collaborators yet

Invite a collaborator to this workspace and start building together!”

Does this mean I don’t have permission to create a Connection?

In the section Workspace admin → Settings → General → Workspace email , the value that you see, is it your account?

If yes, you are the admin and you can create the connection or could you send the screenshot of the connection?

Hi,
My account email is the Workspace email.
I’ve attached a screenshot of the Create Connection button – it appears but is greyed out / not clickable.
Could you please advise why I’m not able to create a Connection?

Hi @shaked,

select sandbox as NO, and you will be able to connect. Is this workato account is related to a corporate email or trail account? Try once from Trail account (www.workato.com/sanbox) with Gmail, if you are able to connect to it, then it may be an issue with role access. Hope you got my point?

Hi,
Even after setting Sandbox = NO and trying with a Gmail Trial account, the connection is still disabled and I’m unable to access any workspace.

Could you please advise on how to proceed or suggest an alternative solution?

Probably you added some incorrect value in Advanced settings

Hi,
I am unable to create connections to Salesforce or Google Sheets.
The Connect button is disabled even before entering any values in Advanced Settings.
Could you please advise how to proceed?

Possible reasons might be

Please check what kind of Collabrator role you have currently and make sure whether you have option to create or edit connections.

Reach out to yorur workspace admin and ask him to update your role that might help.
