Salesforce Project lead and Opportunity owner change

I am looking to monitor the Project Lead and Opportunity owner field in Salesforce when either one changes, but do not want to trigger if the whole Opp. changes. I have tried using the built-in change monitor change in record trigger, but it does not seem to work. Was wondering if anyone else is doing any monitoring of specific fields.

This is Marlon from the support team.

You can use trigger conditions to filter out the trigger when processing events. However, if you only want to trigger based on specific fields, it may not be possible.
