  • AI and data teams

  • Anyone exploring how to bring agentic AI into their enterprise workflows

๐Ÿ’กCommon Questions & Tips

  • Q: What is MCP and why does it matter?
A: Model Context Protocol is an open standard that connects AI models to external tools and data sources through a common protocol. Instead of building custom integrations for each AI agent, MCP standardizes how agents discover and invoke business tools, reducing development time and ensuring consistent, governed access across your enterprise.
  • Q: Do I need prior Workato experience?
A: Some familiarity with Workato is helpful, but the course walks through MCP concepts step by step. You'll need to sign in with your Workato credentials to access the course. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for a free trial.
  • Q: What will I be able to do after completing this course?
A: You'll be able to articulate MCP's business value in the context of agentic AI, evaluate how Workato Enterprise MCP delivers enterprise-grade governance and scalability, and design and deploy a Workato Enterprise MCP with skills for real-world automation use cases.

Hi @nicholas-chiodo,

Great initiative highlighting the Introduction to Enterprise MCP course! ๐Ÿ‘

I recently explored Model Context Protocol (MCP) and implemented a real-time enterprise use case where MCP acts as a **secure API gateway layer** between applications and backend systems.

In my implementation:
๐Ÿ”น Dashboard Application โ†’ Python (Flask) โ†’ MCP Server โ†’ Workato APIs โ†’ Salesforce
๐Ÿ”น Backend APIs are completely hidden and not exposed publicly
๐Ÿ”น MCP acts as a **secure, scalable, and governed API management layer**
๐Ÿ”น Implemented real-time use cases like **Create Order, Get Order Status, Cancel Order** directly from UI

This hands-on experience really helped me understand how MCP can **bridge enterprise systems with intelligent automation** while maintaining security and governance.

Sharing my recent post where I explained the complete architecture and demo video:
๐Ÿ‘‰ MCP PostMCP as API Management Layer

Would love to hear how others are planning to leverage MCP in real-world enterprise architectures! ๐Ÿš€
