Schema needs to be refreshed
Have you clicked 'Refresh' for the connection? This may be a field level security issue, or it may be that your connection does not have the field in cache (it was added after the connection was made, or the field existed on the previous connection, but not on the current). I would hit the refresh button first as it is the fastest and easiest option.
