The documentation is lacking on details of setting up the config.yml for LDAPS via the 'ssl' section.

What certificate type from the Domain Controller is required?

you can download the certificate from server using openssl https://ldapwiki.com/wiki/Obtain%20a%20Certificate%20from%20Server
