dynamic creation of JIRA issues - limitation with custom fields

Hi,

I am able to dynamically create JIRA issues using "Project issue type" as shown in the image below, but using that method, I cannot add data to custom fields. The "Sample project issue type" is supposed to allow me to retrieve custom fields, however Workato does not allow me to use the data pills to create the same entry.  More notes below, with numbers refering to the numbers in red in the image.

1. The create issue does not allow any data from the recipes to be used. Partially defeating the dynamic nature of what I'm trying to do.

2. I tested "create issue in Jira" by hard coding "sample project issue type" (the project name is dynamic, so this is only a test), and I have the option to use all my custom fields

3. Attempting to update the issue I created is also limited to 9 fields, unless I provide "Sample project issue type", but as with #1, I cannot use data pills to enter the project.

Note: I also tried a 'get details' action after my initial create and before the update, and it pulls all the data, including custom fields. My update fields still will not allow me to update the issue with the info from the 'get details' action.

What am I missing? How do I update my custom field in Jira?

Hi @ppotto ,
Great catch! It appears to be a bug that the Workato team needs to address. If you observe closely, the field gets enabled when we choose "Select from the list," but it should also be enabled when "Enter project and Issue Type" is selected.

Could you please take a look at this and let us know whom we should report it to?

Thanks and Regards,
