Yes exactly. I need to convert an existing lead to a contact when a purchase is made in another application.
The problem I’m facing is simply that I don’t see a way of doing that through the SF API. I could get my lead and use all the fields to create a contact and then delete the lead, but I would assume there is a more elegant way. In the SF UI I believe you can just convert them so I would assume this is available via API.
