Hi Workato Community,
I’m very interested in creating a Workato account and completing the Workato Academy certifications (Pro I, II, and III) to enhance my skills. While signing up, I noticed that the platform requires a valid business email address, and my personal email (Gmail) is not accepted.
Could you please guide me on whether there is any way to gain access to the Automation Institute / Workato Academy using a personal email? Or are there alternative options available for individuals who do not currently have a business domain email?
These certifications are very important for my professional growth, and I would really appreciate any suggestions or support from the community or Workato team.
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,

At the moment, Workato Academy / Automation Institute requires a business email address to register. This is mainly to ensure accounts are tied to organizations and to prevent misuse of the platform.
For individuals without a business domain email, here are a few options:
Use your company-provided email (if you are currently employed and your organization allows it).
If you are a student with a valid college/university domain email, you should be able to register with that.
Request access through a Workato partner or training provider, as they may grant you Academy access.
Contact Workato Support or Academy team directly via support.workato.com to check if they can provision temporary access.
Alternative path: Access public learning resources (docs, tutorials, webinars, YouTube videos) to start preparing even without an Academy login.
If certification is a priority, I recommend raising a support ticket with Workato to confirm if your case qualifies for an exception.
