On-prem Group Connection Error

Hi All,

New to Workato...

We are wanting to change the Base Folder on an On-prem Group connection, bu we are getting the following error when clicking 'connect':

Connection failed
[] not found

On-prem Group: DKMS0205
Original Base Folder: \\dkms0045\M2A Krystyna
New Base Folder: \\dkms0045\M2AMaxime

Can anyone point me in the right direction or any ideas what this could be?

Many thanks,
Thomas

Hi @thomas-norman

This error always appears, if the OPA cannot access the file-system for any reason. Potential reasons, that come to my mind:
Permission issue
As the OPA might run as a service, it may use a Local Service-Account not having the permission to access the given share/location.
You may try to run the OPA manually to see if it works with the user currently logged in. If yes, you know, it is a permission issue as described above. Or you check, if the previous path has some extra permissions your new path doesn't have.
Typo
It could be as simple as that. Just a typo in the path

Maybe that helps already.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi @thomas-norman
It could be any one of the following, could you please re-verify the below points

  • Check Permissions: Ensure that the account or user associated with the On-prem Group connection has the necessary permissions to access and modify the new base folder (\\dkms0045\M2AMaxime). Insufficient permissions can lead to connection failures.

  • Verify Path Format: Double-check the format of the new base folder path. It should be in the correct UNC (Universal Naming Convention) format, and there should not be any typos or syntax errors in the path.

  • Test Connection Outside Workato: Try accessing the new base folder directly from the machine where Workato is running. This can help you verify if there are any issues with the path or if the folder is accessible.

Hi @thomas-norman ,

1.Hope you have restarted the OPA service after changing the base folder .
2.Check if any permission issues to access that path
3. Check out for indentation spaces.
